Are you open on a Saturday?
Yes, we are open from 8am – 12pm on a Saturday.
I just need a piano moving from Ilkley to Northampton. Can you do this?
Yes we would be happy to arrange the removal of your piano. As it is only one item to remove we may be able to complete this as a PART LOAD (this reduces costs as you would share van space with other loads heading in the same direction) Please call our office and we would be happy to discuss part load availability.
Do you offer storage facilities?
Yes we have both self storage and containerized storage on site here at our Skipton depot.
do you do international moves to america?
Yes we are fully equipped to deal with overseas removals, we offer a full export wrapping service and can organise a full ‘door to door’ move either using a full shipping container or as groupage depending on volume to be shipped. Please contact our office and we would be happy to organise a free no obligation pre-move survey.
Do you sell boxes?
We sell boxes of various sizes along with a full range of packing materials at our office on Gargrave Road, Skipton.
All boxes are sold individually and payment by cash or most credit cards is acceptable.
do you have storage only facilities for a small amount of household furniture thanks
We can arrange storage for anything from one item to the contents of an entire house, please contact our office and we can give you a quote based on the volume you wish to store. We can fully blanket wrap and place your effects into our clean, dry and secure containerised storage or if you require access to items whilst in store we also have a modern self storage facility.
If you are looking to bring the items in yourself and just need some storage space I would suggest self storage will best suit your needs.
Can you sort the removal of my piano?
We have lots of experience moving all types of piano from uprights to concert grandes. We have all the equipment and covers required and if you require storage we have a dedicated heated piano room, we currently have about 20 pianos in store of all shapes and sizes from different clients.

I am moving with you next Wednesday but opted to do my own packing but we’ve run out of boxes, can I call in and collect some on Saturday and how much do they cost?
There is no additional cost for boxes, you are welcome to call and collect them (they all come flat-pack) within our office hours Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm and Saturday 8am-12pm or if you prefer we can arrange to deliver them to you when we have a truck passing which is most days.

How much will it cost to collect my things from our three bedroom house in Eldwick and to store them for about 6 weeks?
Please contact our office and we would be happy to organise a free no obligation pre-move survey. We can provide a fixed cost for the removal into store and then a weekly storage rate.
do you have storage and if so how much does it cost
We offer two main options for storage:
1) CONTAINERISED STORAGE– Firstly we would visit your home to provide a free no obligation quotation. Our fully trained team would wrap and prepare items, take a full inventory and load your effects into specially designed storage containers which are portable and for added safety and peace of mind we would load them on site at your property using our purpose built vehicles, once sealed in the storage container your effects are locked away and protected until they arrive at final destination once removed from storage. Due to the fact that our staff will fully wrap and protect items to our high standards this method of storage comes with full insurance cover. We can also pack all of your boxes / cartons if you require this service.
2) SELF STORAGE – we offer purpose built storage units for rental on site here in Skipton, the units are located inside a large warehouse which is dry, fully insulated, alarmed and cctv protected. You are welcome to bring items in yourself and can access the units as many times as you wish within our working hours without additional cost. can you just store my 2 sofas and armchair for a few weeks if i drop them off?
We have specialist suite racks to suit this purpose. Sofas and armchairs would first be covered in plastic protective covers and then placed on the specially made racks without danger of crush marks or damage which can be caused if such items are stacked in more basic facilities.
We can also provide a quote for collection of your suite or you are welcome to bring it in yourself, please give us a call and we shall be pleased to make the necessary arrangements.
How much notice do you require for a normal household removal (Ilkley to Burley In Wharfedale)
We generally require approximately two weeks notice for the booking of moves – it is always wise to give as much notice as you possibly can to ensure that we can secure the date of your choice, however of course we understand it may not always be possible to give this much notice and we can often fit last minute jobs in (depending on our existing commitments at any given time).
It is sensible to book our free no obligation pre-move survey well in advance of the move (at least 4-6 weeks) in order that we can give you costings and assess requirements in terms of vehicles, staff and materials in order to make the whole process much quicker and smoother when you are in a position to book dates.
Are you able to collect and store the contents of my narrow boat whilst I have it rennovated?
